Day 1
The Blue City
Arrive in Jodhpur. Spend the afternoon wandering the blue alleyways below Mehrangarh Fort to set the desert mood.

Day 2
Drive to the Golden City
A 5-hour drive west straight into the Thar Desert. Check into a heritage haveli in Jaisalmer as the sandstone glows at sunset.

Day 3
A Living Fort
Explore Jaisalmer Fort—the only fort in India where thousands of people still live inside. Visit the Jain temples and Patwon Ki Haveli.

Day 4
Ghost Towns & Dunes
Visit the abandoned, purportedly haunted village of Kuldhara. In the afternoon, head to Sam Sand Dunes for a camel ride and sunset.

Day 5
Deep Desert Camping
Move away from the commercial dunes to a secluded, luxury tent camp deeper in the Thar. Folk music, fire, and stargazing.

Day 6
Return to Jodhpur
Morning jeep safari in the desert, then drive back to Jodhpur. Last feast of Laal Maas (spicy Rajasthani mutton).

Morning flight out of Jodhpur.
