Two humans,
one untamed
expedition studio.
Wanderkind started on the back of a railway ticket at a New Delhi station in 2022. The ticket is framed now. The expeditions are very, very real.
We met on a
delayed train.
In 2021, Tara was on her way to Spiti Valley. Rohan was supposed to be heading to Manali. Thanks to a classic Himalayan landslide, neither of them ended up where they meant to. They split a plate of roadside momos and decided that was the whole point.
A year later, Wanderkind opened its doors — a tiny expedition studio that plans trips the way you'd plan a love letter to the wild. We're still small on purpose. Eight travelers per trip. Two founders who actually answer the email.
We don't do AC bus tours. We do detours.
The two
behind the ticket.

Tara Menon
New DelhiCo-founder · Expedition Architect
Tara maps out the Himalayas the way other people write diaries. After a decade producing travel documentaries across the subcontinent, she started Wanderkind to build trips that feel less like packaged tours and more like curated mixtapes.
- 28 states explored
- 3 broken lenses
- 1 obsession with masala chai
“A good trip is 60% itinerary, 40% trusting the local dhaba owner.”

Rohan Sen
GoaCo-founder · Field Fixer
Rohan is the reason every Wanderkind itinerary has a 5am jungle safari and a midnight street food run. He tracks leopards, talks his way out of roadblocks, and insists on saying yes to the second kulhad of tea.
- 14 tiger reserves
- 1 lost passport in Spiti
- 0 regrets
“Tourists point cameras. Travelers get their boots muddy.”
